Kids Are the Focus of Special Day on the Slopes
At Launch Pad we are all about teaching beginners how to ski, both young old. However, we are especially focused on helping kids get out on the slopes and get them racing down the hill in as little time as possible. That’s why we developed some of the most innovative ski training products available on the market today. We are passionate about skiing and we want to help everyone who shares that passion to either learn, or to teach someone else, how to ski better.
Ski 4 Kids
The National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) recently hosted a special Ski 4 Kids Day in Anchorage Alaska, which was designed for kids but incorporated fun for the whole family. The activities, which were available for young skiers between the ages of 1 to 14, included an obstacle course, a 3 km race and a biathlon. There were several other fun things to do at the event, which provided kids the opportunity to try new things and experiences as many snow-related activities as possible. They included sit skiing, skijoring, snowshoeing and orienteering.
A Good Cause
The purpose behind the event was to raise money for the Anchorage Parks and Recreation Ski Outreach Program, which is a NSAA grant program designed to give ski equipment to youth organizations and schools, as well as the brand new NSAA Ski 4 School-Kids Program. All proceeds from the event will be used to buy ski equipment for those various programs.
For the Kids
Parents were also invited to ski with their kids and those youngsters who were able to finish the race received a medal and goody bag, including a Ski Bear lift ticket. At Launch Pad we are all-for any activity or event designed to encourage kids to learn how to ski and to enjoy the slopes more. That’s what our innovative products are all about.
